Eagle Watch Weekend is January 25-26. Come to Utica to see the bald eagles! In past years, as many as 300 eagles have been spotted in the area, nesting and fishing along the Illinois River. Explore on your own, or enjoy activities at these locations:
Tasting Room: If you go on an outdoor adventure to see the eagles, stop by to see us; warm up your toes and enjoy a warm glass of August Hill Spice. We also have the Bald Eagle photos of award-winning photographer, Paula Guttilla, displayed and available for sale. Meet Paula, and learn more about her art from 2-5 pm each day. On Saturday, we also have live music by Steve Sharp from 3:30-6:30pm.
Starved Rock State Park Visitor Center: Programs and exhibits offered both days. See flyer on this page for details.
Starved Rock Lodge is offering trolley tours, guided hikes, and other programs. You can find more information and sign up for both of these activities at this link.
Illinois Waterway Visitor Center: Programs and shows throughout the day on both days. This is also a great place to look through a viewing scope to see or photograph the eagles. Learn more at this link.
Utica Village Hall: Special programs for all will be offered on both days. See flyer on this page for details.
