Cave Tasting Experience

Go behind the scenes where the magic happens at our Winery & Vineyard in Peru, Illinois.
Step inside our working winery caves—built into the hillside—where your favorite August Hill & ISC wines are crafted and aged. Enjoy a guided wine journey with a small group (up to 20 guests, approximately 45 minutes), featuring six hand-selected wines and a signature tasting glass to take home. Along the way, enjoy a featured pairing of our Augie’s Blackberry wine with a chocolate bite.
Tickets are $30 per person; $20 for Insider Wine Club members (limit 2 discounted tickets per day).
Reserve a Spot:
Cave Tastings are offered seasonally on Saturdays and Sundays at 12 pm, 2 pm, and 4 pm. Space is limited, so we recommend reserving in advance. Click here to reserve your spot.
Stay for Wine on the Hill:
Make a day of it! Join us for Wine on the Hill before or after your tasting, depending on your time slot. Open 12–5 pm on Saturdays & Sundays, with live music from 1–4 pm. See our “Wine on the Hill” page for more information.
Please note: This experience takes place at our Winery & Vineyard location in Peru, not at our Tasting Room in Utica. When using GPS, be sure to select the “August Hill Wine on the Hill” location in Peru. Directions are available on our website.
