A Dog-Friendly Block Party in Downtown Utica
Join us on Saturday, May 2 from 11am–4pm for Sip ‘n’ Snip, a lively, dog-friendly street festival taking over Mill Street in downtown Utica! Co-hosted by August Hill Winery and Just Animals Shelter, this Utica celebration brings together local businesses for a day full of food, fun, and fundraising.
Bring your pup and enjoy a tail-wagging good time with games, raffles, vendors, live music, and plenty of activities for both you and your four-legged friends. Sip on your favorite beverages, explore offerings from Utica’s local shops and restaurants, and don’t miss crowd favorites like the Doxy Derby!

- 11am-4pm – Visit our Vendors
- 11:00 am – Pet Parade – line up in front of Bruce & Ollie’s on Mill Street
- 11:30 am – Pet Costume Contest
- 12 noon – Doxie Derby (sign up at Just Animals)
- 1:00 pm – I Scream CONE Contest
- 2:30 pm – Best Friends Pet Photo Contest Winners announced (in front of August Hill Winery)
*Please note that dogs are not allowed inside many of the local businesses, but are welcome to hang out with their owners all along Mill Street during the event.
