DESCRIPTION:The LaSalle County Historical Society’s Annual Burgoo Festival returns to downtown Utica October 11 & 12. This much-loved event features shopping\, food\, music\, and family fun throughout the village. The highlight is the festival’s signature Burgoo Stew—a pioneer dish slow-cooked outdoors overnight with beef\, chicken\, pork\, vegetables\, and even a splash of August Hill wine—available only on Sunday. \nSaturday\, October 11\, 11am-7pm\n\nShop the Canal Market – Over 375 vendors set up in the Canal Market and around Utica. August Hill Winery will have a tent by the Canal Market and will be selling our canned wines and a couple of other favorites!\nSavor delicious food options at the Burgoo Food Court\nSip on your favorite wines at the August Hill Tasting Room and enjoy live music by John Drake from 3:30-6:30pm\nCatch additional live entertainment in Utica\, 11am-6pm\nSee blacksmithing demos\n\nSunday\, October 12\, 9:00 am — 5:00 pm\n\nEnjoy the Famous Burgoo Stew\, available starting at 9am. The stew is cooked outdoors Saturday night for between 12 and 18 hours over a wood-burning fire\, giving it a special flavor. Wine flights\, wine by the bottle\, and a snack picnic box will all be available. \nHOURS/LOCATION: You can enjoy wine on the hillside on Saturday from 12-5 pm. This event is at our 21 N 2551st Rd.\, Peru\, IL vineyard & winery location (not at our Tasting Room in Utica).  You can find directions to get to our Peru location and FAQs on our Wine on the Hill page. \nMUSIC: John Drake\, 1-4 pm [Americana & Blues] \nRESERVATION TO RELAX: Want to enjoy Wine on the Hill\, with less work for you? Book your “Reservation to Relax” today\, and the August Hill team will prepare you a spot on the hill for your selected date. The reservation will be for the day (12-5 pm on Saturdays; 12-5 pm on Sundays).
